As a mother, I am horrified to read about incidents of sexual assaults on children in Bengaluru. 2 children were raped in separate incidents in the last few days.

I do not want this happening to any child. As parents and citizens, we are all seeking to find a solution to this horrific problem.

The State government has constituted a 14-member committee of officials to monitor the implementation of the guidelines. However, this panel does not include any representative of the parents'​ body. 

While the govt has put together an implementation panel, what is lacking is a concrete and aggressive IMPLEMENTATION PLAN and relevant stakeholders in the implementation process. ​

I believe the Education Minister, Kimmane Ratnakar, should include parents as stakeholders to be part of this implementation process. 

Kimmane Ratnakar, please ensure the biggest stakeholders -parents, are part of the implementation by including them in the process. This will ensure better representation and monitoring. 

Nothing can be more important than saving the future generation of this country. Nothing can be paramount than saving innocent childhood from a horrific form of abuse.
